Apparently, next year is going to be The Year of Hercules. There is, of course, “Hercules: The Thracian Wars,” the upcoming film directed by Brett Ratner and starring Dwayne Johnson, but now, according to Coming Soon and The Hollywood Reporter, Renny Harlin is directing another Hercules film, “Hercules 3D,” starring “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz. “Saturday Night Live” might have one less cast member if NBC’s latest comedy pilot is successful. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Saturday Night Live” actress Nasim Pedrad is set to star in a John Mulaney comedy pilot. The Universal Television, Broadway Video and 3 Arts pilot, is loosely based on Mulaney’s life. Pedrad will star as Jane, a grade school teacher who, despite being nice and intelligent, is lazy and hates her job. She wants to change things in her life, but she’s also a very bad procrastinator. Zoe Saldana is jumping from one space opera to another, isn’t she? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Saldana is currently in negotiations to play Gamora in Mavel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy.” For those not in the know, Gamora is a green-skinned alien assassin who is the last of her species after her kind were killed by the Badoon.
