I Don't Know How She Does It

Blu-ray Review: I Don't Know How She Does It

Monday, February 6th, 2012

Title: I Don’t Know How She Does It Reviewed by: JM Willis Directed by: Douglas McGrath Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear Running time: 89 minutes , Rated PG-13, Available on DVD Kate Reddy, a financial executive juggles her career and responsibilities as a wife and mother of two, as rivals, friends and family comment in awe to an unseen/unheard interviewer.  Kate breaks the fourth wall as she explains “how she does it.” I  stumbled upon the Uma Thurman box office bomb Motherhood a few weeks ago while channel surfing at my parents’ house, and found the storyline in comparison eerily similar. Mom has to juggle being…

Game Time Movie

DVD Review: Game Time

Thursday, January 5th, 2012

Title: Game Time Directed by: Diego Hallivis Starring: Phil Haus, Jason Hurt, María DiDomenico Running Time 101 minutes, Rated PG13 Vance and his mother leave an abusive, alcoholic father and move to New York to make a fresh start. Vance makes friends with Jules, an aspiring ball player whose dream is to get his mother and siblings out of poverty. Together, they enter dueling ball tournaments to raise cash and earn court prestige. Not a fan of this film. The acting was next to horrible and the dialogue was eye-rolling-ly bad. The only positive I can point out is that it’s a good tutorial for young men who are of…

Blessthefall Awakening

Album Review: Blessthefall Awakening

Sunday, October 9th, 2011

There is always that “one” that “one” album that is indeed without a doubt “the best to date”. Surly this can said about Blessthefall’s first ever debut LP “His Last Walk” with former frontman Craig Mabbit who brought Blessthefall to the forefront of the music scene before departing to join forces with Escape The Fate in 2008. Blessthefall saw that their time seemed bleak and raw but went onward to release two more albums “Witness” and now their third LP to date “Awakening” seems to fall short of their first release. The fast grinding guitar structure, powerful heartfelt lyrics, screaming coals are all fun and good filling but the quality…
