According to CinemaBlend, Paul Giamatti suggested to IFC during the Sundance Film Festival that the film adaptation of Eric Powell’s comic “The Goon” might not be getting made due to the lack of funds. “I have no idea what the hell happened,” he said in the interview. “I asked and no one knows. I guess they just ran out of money.” However, CinemaBlend has posted an update on “The Goon,” and it appears that Giamatti put his foot in his mouth. The last “Hangover” film didn’t get a great critical review–in fact, it was all but panned by critics. Usually, the general audience can give a film a bit of a pass, but audiences hated this film, too. So why is another “Hangover” getting made? Probably because of huge box-office returns. Angelina Jolie has been added to the list of presenters at the 84th annual Academy Awards, telecast producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer have confirmed. A while ago, MTV recognized the massive fandoms behind comic blockbuster films “The Avengers” and “The Dark Knight Rises” could provide a huge showdown when MTV created their MTV Movie Brawl. It was a knock-out, drag-down fight, but in the end, “The Dark Knight Rises” beat “The Avengers” by a narrow percentage of the votes.
