Watch Santogold sing her song “Creator” in this weeks promo clip from MTV’s 52 Bands 52 Weeks. Santi White - better known by her stage name, Santogold - has a varied repertoire of accomplishments. She’s been an A&R rep for Epic Records, wrote songs for Lily Allen and Ashlee Simpson, had a song featured on a Bud Light Lime commercial, and of course she’s had wild success among hipsters and music critics with her debut album, Santogold. This Brooklyn-based artist is set to tour with Coldplay later in the summer and is this week’s featured artist for MTV’s “52 Bands/52 Weeks” campaign.

The album was the first to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart for Death Cab for Cutie members Ben Gibbard, Chris Walla, Nicholas Harmer and Jason McGerr. For the remainder of June, Death Cab for Cutie is playing a number of shows on the west coast, and then they’re heading to Europe, Asia and Australia for the rest of the summer.
