Biel and Copley Join The Cast Of A-Team

Variety.com is reporting that both Jessica Biel and Sharlto Copley (“District 9″) are in final talks to join the cast of Fox’s upcoming “A-Team” film, opposite Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Joe Carnahan is directing, with Ridley Scott, Jules Daly, and series creator Stephen J. Cannell producing from a script by Skip Woods. The film, which will start filming this fall in Vancouver, will follow the premise of the classic TV series about four falsely convicted soldiers who escape from prison and become do-gooder mercenaries. Copley will portray pilot “Howling Mad” Murdock, and Biel will be playing the ex-lover of Cooper’s “Faceman,” the general pursuing the team.  [ Read More ]

Bradley Cooper Attached To The A-Team

Bradley Cooper is in talks to take on the role of Face for Fox’s feature adaptation of the classic TV series “The A-Team.” Cooper had been rumored to be attached to the project for some time, but now officially confirmed, according to The Hollywood Reporter, to be in talks to play Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, a member of a renegade Army group who escaped unjust imprisonment and go on the run as mercenaries. Dirk Benedict originated the role on the 1980s NBC series, which was created by Stephen J. Cannell. Stay tuned for more “A-Team” news right here at Shockya.com. A-Team Movie Moving Up

Twentieth Century Fox has assembled a creative team to transform popular 1980s TV series “The A-Team” into a summer 2010 film. The studio has set Narc and Smokin’ Aces helmer Joe Carnahan to direct with Ridley Scott and Tony Scott exec producing through their Scott Free production team. The show’s original creator, Stephen J. Cannell, will also be producing. The film will start production by June 2009 for a June 11, 2010 theatrical release. Boyz n the Hood and Poetic Justice director John Singleton had most recently been attached to the film before dropping out.
