Homelanders May Be Directed By Smallville Showrunners

With Summit Entertainment moving forward with its film adaptation of the young adult book series “Homelanders”, “Smallville” showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are currently in negotiations to make their directorial debut with the project, Collider is reporting. Screenwriter Miles Chapman is on board to pen the project, and Gough and Milar will also help him with the script. Summit is planning on including a sci-fi element in the movie’s story. The books, which were written by Andrew Klavan, have a ‘Bourne Identity’-thriller element. Paramount Adapting Existence 2.0

Paramount has picked up rights to the Image comic title “Existence 2.0″ by Nick Spencer and artist Ronald Salas. Miles Millar and Alfred Gough (TV’s “Smallville”, “Shanghai Noon”) are attached to create the adaptation. The Paramount-based Platinum Dones is producing alongside David Alpert from Circle of Confusion. Rick Jacobs of CoC is on board as executive producer with Millar and Gough. Writing Team For Robotech Remake Tapped

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, writers from the WB’s Superman hit “Smallville”, have been signed to write a film adaptation of “Robotech” for Warner Bros. Akiva Goldsman, Chuck Roven, Tobey Maguire and Drew Crevello are attached to produce, and the film will be executive produced by Frank Agrama and Jason Netter. Robotech is an animated sci-fi robot franchise that was launched by an 85-episode adaptation of three different anime television series, “Super Dimension Fortress Macross”, “Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross”, and “Genesis Climber Mospeada”.
