Album Review: All Time Low has some Dirty Work to Do

Tuesday, June 7th, 2011

Pop punks All Time Low formed eight years ago while still in high school, getting their start covering pop punk acts such as Blink-182.  Emerald Moon Records signed the band in 2004 leading them to release their first EP “The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End” later that year. Their first studio album, “The Party Scene” released July 2005 kept the band occupied until graduation 2006, where they signed a record deal with Hopeless Records, causing a spree of several more releases, which lead them to move on with Interscope Records and release their fourth LP “Dirty Work”. All Time Low Pleases Fans Acoustically

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

Rock-pop bands do not get enough credit vocally. Indie groups, whose vocals stand out against their calming instrumental sounds, typically take the cake in that category. So when a rock-pop group sings acoustically, we get chills down our spine. At the same time, we feel disappointed that we ever doubted that band would be able to cause such an emotional reaction within us, other than the psychical head bobbing one. So, we send an apology to All Time Low for our former stereotype of the rock-pop genre, but also congratulate the band for opening the minds of other marginalized listeners. Check out All Time Low’s acoustic version of their lead…

Interview: Turn Your Bad Day Around with All Time Low

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

Quirkily fun is an understatement when describing the guys from All Time Low. The quartet harbors a glaring amount of energy both on and off stage. They do not pretend to have a cloud of dismalness swirling around them, as most punk rock bands tend to convey through their bruised, but tough egos. Yes, All Time Low still has a sensitive side, so you can still say “aw” if they say something adorable, but this rock pop band predominantly is about letting loose and having a good old time with their music. All Time Low formed in 2003 with co-founders singer and guitarist Alex Gaskarth and guitarist Jack Barakat. Bassist,…
