Title: Barney’s Version Director: Richard J. Lewis Starring: Paul Giamatti, Rosamund Pike, Scott Speedman, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Anna Hopkins, Bruce Greenwood, Mark Addy At 134 minutes, “Barney’s Version” is a tad long-winded. The flick is based off a novel written by the late Canadian Mordecai Richler. Filmed on-location in Montreal, New York and Rome; the autobiographical delivery via the lead’s mind, reflects back on the times he spent in each location. It’s not one of those, “Oh, when we were young” type pieces. Instead, the flick follows a character who constantly flip-flops in being the protagonist and the antagonist. Lewis and starring Paul Giamatti (Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires, The Goon), Rosamund Pike (Johnny English Reborn, Surrogates), Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting, Conviction) and Jake Hoffman (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead). Paul Giamatti To Star In Barneys Version

Paul Giamatti will be headlining the indie drama “Barney’s Version,” based on Mordecai Richler’s final novel, with Robert Lantos producing via Serendipity Point. Richard J. Lewis will direct based off of a script by Michael Konyves. Domenico Procacci, Lyse Lafontain, and Ari Lantos are co-producing. “Barney’s Version” will be a co-production between Serendipity Point Films and Italy’s Fandango. The story focuses on the title character and his life of recklessness, failed marriages, and being a “person of interest” in the mysterious disappearance of his once-closest friend.
