Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

Sure, Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Rises) is known for being the one of the world’s biggest superheroes, Batman, but over the Christmas holidays, Bale became a real hero when he broke up a fight between two homeless people. According to Contact Music, Bale was shopping near his Brentwood, Los Angeles home when he saw two homeless people arguing about something. After taking a look at the scene, Bale felt he had to step in. “I could not believe what I was seeing,” a witness told the National Enquirer. “It wasn’t clear what the people were arguing about-but it soon became apparent that their conversation was heading toward a violent…

Batman Producer Jon Peters Sued for Abandoning Dogs

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

Jon Peters, the producer of ‘Batman’ and ‘Batman Returns,’ is being sued for abandoning his two dogs, Bear and Beau, TMZ is reporting. A new lawsuit filed against Peters, who also produced such ’80s hits as ‘Flashdance,’ ‘Rainman,’ ‘The Color Purple’ and ‘Caddyshack,’ accuses him of leaving the two dogs at a West Hollywood dog kennel in 2010, and failing to pay the massive bill he accumulated in the process. The lawsuit alleges that Peters’ ex-wife brought Bear, an Akita, and Beau, a Doberman Pinscher, to the California K-9 Academy in June 2010. The producer needed to board the dogs because he was moving into a new home. K-9 is…

Vote On Batman Or Bane Gracing The Cover Of Empire

Saturday, November 19th, 2011

So far, the votes are neck and neck. The next cover of Empire Magazine is going to show either Batman (Christian Bale) or Bane (Tom Hardy) one of the two main characters from “The Dark Knight Rises.” However, the voting public must vote on who they want to see. You can vote on which cover you want to see at Comic Book Movie, simply by clicking on the cover you want to see published. As of right now, it would seem that people are more ready to see Bane since Batman is going to be the same, technically. Everyone wants to see the full frontal picture of Bane, and from…

Powerglove Release Batman Video

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

International videogame metal act Powerglove have revealed their brand new video for “Batman,” the lead track off their latest release “Saturday Morning Apocalypse” which came out late last year. Guitarist Chris Marchiel offers his own explanation. “David Brodsky and I just finished our music video for Batman. In typical Powerglove fashion we did things a little differently. After shooting our green screen performance footage we captured tons of “sprite” images of ourselves in the style of Mortal Kombat then processed those into full sets of 16 bit action moves. Then, instead of just animating those, I programmed several video game fight scenarios with the band as playable characters and recorded takes…

Sunday, August 7th, 2011

Sure, it’s fun getting early peeks at upcoming productions, but it’s a different story if those first looks are coming from anywhere else, but the studio in charge. Hearing that John Travolta, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme may be in The Expendables 2 from the Nu Boyana Studios CEO? Good. Seeing official images of Anne Hathaway, Henry Cavill and Rihanna in full costume for The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel and Battleship respectively? Awesome. A parody video by Miles Fisher starring the entire cast of Final Destination 5? Bloody fantastic! Amateur photos and video of folks hanging around the set of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises? Now…

Monday, July 25th, 2011

Who doesn’t love a MIMOBOT? They’re these little USB drives in the shape of all sorts of characters like Batman, Hello Kitty, Darth Vader and more. Sure, they’re small and simple, but it really does make backing up your work that much more enjoyable. In fact, one of the few things I bought while at San Diego Comic Con was their Stormtrooper model. MIMOBOT’s Comic Con booth came packed with many of their beloved designs like their Star Wars line-up, Green Lantern drives, and Batman designs, but the team was also there to introduce a few SDCC 2011 exclusives. Not only were the Harley Quinn and Emily the Strange MIMOBOTs…

Adam West Cameo Possible in The Dark Knight Rises

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

Take this rumor with a humongous grain of salt, but CinemaBlend is reporting on a rumor which originated in Floss Magazine about the possibility of Adam West having a cameo in “The Dark Knight Rises” from director Christopher Nolan. According to a tweet sent out by the magazine, they state, “Hollywood big wigs confirmed actor Adam West(Batman on the TV series) will make a cameo on “The Dark Knight Rises” set to open July 20, 2012.” We don’t know who the “big wigs” they are writing about are, but if this is true, it will certainly make the viewing of “The Dark Knight Rises” even more intriguing to watch. But…
