Tola Has Risen To The Top

In some ways, we have been enjoying the direction the music world has taken since the start of the 21st Century. Growing up, we were often drawn to underground music due to the pop and emotionless tunes that cluttered the surface. As time passes, more and more “above ground artists” are beginning to appeal to us because they are expressing the 90s musical traits we once fell for, which mainly included aspects of the theatrical world. For example, with mainstream artists like Lady Gaga, Adele and Beyonce, you don’t just hear catchy choruses. Their tracks more notably include layers of emotion that are able to channel through to listeners. The  [ Read More ]

Beyonce Continues To Impress With Her Latest Video

Posted by lonnie On July - 11 - 2011 0 Comment

We have only one complaint about Beyonce’s video for the track, “Best Thing I Never Had.” The four minute video should have included Jay-Z as her groom. We hardly see tabloid pictures of the couple together, so it would have been nice to actually have a few recent clips of the lovebirds. Oh well, either way we are captivated by Beyonce in this latest release. “Best Thing I Never Had,” which is off of her latest album, ’4′, is the ballad of all ballads. The lyrics of the tune are extremely catchy, mostly due to our ability to relate to them. With most break-ups comes the pain; it takes self-confidence  [ Read More ]

Beyonce Releases 4

Posted by lonnie On June - 30 - 2011 0 Comment

There are times where the obvious needs to be stated. Yes, we love to announce news about up and coming bands, but there are some renowned singers and musicians to whom we will forever be obliged to release information about, even if the news is already known worldwide. We would like to point out one last thing before our announcement. We used to steer clear of mainstream music, primarily due to our fear that fame corrodes an artist’s authenticity, but we were undeniably wrong with this assumption. As a music fan, it is essential to know all the realms of the music world, not just the brooding souls free of  [ Read More ]

There’s no question that Beyonce’s performance of “Run the World (Girls)” at Saturday’s Billboard Awards was one of the highlights, but now there’s a controversy as to how she came up with the performance. Gail Simone Talks Wonder Woman Movie

Posted by Costa Koutsoutis On November - 12 - 2008 0 Comment

Gail Simone, the writer of the current run of DC’s renowned “Wonder Woman” title, recently talked a bit with io9.com about the sudden surge of rumors surrounding a “Wonder Woman” movie, particularly ones about pop singer Beyonce’s desire to star, and McG taking the director’s chair. “In general, I’m very skeptical of any fake irony when dealing with Wonder Woman.
