Title: God Bless Ozzy Osbourne Movie Review Directors: Mike Fleiss & Mike Piscitelli Starring: Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee, Sharon Osbourne In a society of like-minded people, who foamed at the mouth when VH1′s Behind the Music pulled back the curtain on heralded rock star debauchery of yesteryear, fans of these respective bands believed they were given the whole story. To a certain extent, they were. But after watching God Bless Ozzy Osbourne…Behind the Music can eat their heart out. Or better yet – and more appropriately, bite their head off. Produced by Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne, the 90 minute-plus documentary doesn’t just peel back the curtain…it…

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

Think about this, have you ever asked yourself the question… “If I didn’t have music in my life, where would I be and what would I do”? The truth is, without music the world would be a cold and shallow grave. Music can free the mind to new experiences just by listening to it, let alone creating it. The harp can sooth the savage beast and who doesn’t understand that more than Ian Gillan and Tony Iommi. At least that is the way these pioneers of rock and roll see it, as should we all. Meat Loaf, Black Sabbath and Everly

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

SOMETHING OLD: MEAT LOAF BAT OUT OF HELL CBS/EPIC 1978 I know I will be getting tons of shit for what I am about to say. I think the pair of Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf as musicians and songwriters belongs in league with the likes of Lennon/McCartney, Stanley/Simmons, Page/Plant, Tyler /Perry, and Jagger/Richards.Steinman/Loaf has never gotten the credit they are due. As to the music on this LP,Every damn song on here is a bona fide classic, 35 million times over. I hope Jim & Meat are enjoying having the last laugh. SOMETHING NEW: BLACK SABBATH THE DIO YEARS RHINO 2007 OK, so I guess by now it is…
