Mark Wahlberg Declines Lead in The Crow Reboot

‘The Crow’ remake suffered another blow when Mark Wahlberg confirmed he won’t be portraying the lead role of Eric Draven. The news comes after director Stephen Norrington also declined to move forward with the project. Also, the comic book community has not embraced the proposed film as much as the 1994 original. Details On New Crow Movie Emerge

Mania.com has some new information about a brand-new “The Crow” movie, the latest in the franchise started by the 1989 comic book by James O’Barr and now-infamous 1994 movie starring Brandon Lee. Announced in 2008 and being directed by Stephen Norrington (“Blade”, “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”), Norrington told Mania.com that his film, contrary to rumors, would not be a remake of the original story, but rather about a “a whole new story, about a whole new character” according to their source.
