The new trailer and movie stills for the Sony Pictures’ “The Guard” have been released. The action-comedy stars Don Cheadle (“Hotel Rwanda”, “Oceans Thirteen”) and Brendan Gleeson (“Braveheart”, “28 Days Later”). The film will be released in theaters nationwide July 29. Relativity Medias has acquired the marketing and distribution rights for director James McTeigue’s new movie, ‘The Raven,’ the studio announced via a press release. The movie was produced by Intrepid Pictures, and stars John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. ‘The Raven’ is a fictionalized story of the end of Edgar Allan Poe’s life, as he trails a serial killer who copies killings detailed in his work. The movie began shooting in Hungary in November before it moved to Serbia last month. Comingsoon.net is reporting that Brendan Gleeson, Don Cheadle, Mark Strong, Liam Cunningham, Pat Shortt, Fionnuala Flanagan, David Wilmot, Rory Keenan, and Katarina Cas have all been announced as starring in John Michael McDonagh’s “The Guard”, which has just started principal photography in the West of Ireland. The film is about a small-town cop (Gleason) who begrudgingly teams up with a straight-laced FBI agent (Cheadle) in order to uncover an international cocaine-running ring that has set up shop in his town.
