Buffy the Vampire Slayer Creator Joss Whedon Comments on Series Reboot
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010With the news that Warner Bros. has hired Whit Anderson to write a reboot of the cult classic ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer,’ the writer of the original movie, Joss Whedon, is speaking out against the planned remake. Whedon, who is currently co-writing and directing Marvel’s 2012 release ‘The Avengers,’ said the ‘Buffy’ reboot “is a sad, sad reflection on our times, when people must feed off the carcasses of beloved stories from their youths.” Whedon continued on his rant, saying Warner Bros. wants to revive ‘Buffy’ because “they can’t think of an original idea of their own, like I did with my ‘Avenger’s idea that I made up myself.” The…
