Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been comparing ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ to his previous independent films that helped launch his career. In an interview with Comic Book Movie, the actor also pointed out that the superhero movie’s director, producer and co-writer, Christopher Nolan, started his career with such films as ‘Momento’ and ‘Following,’ and his second Batman sequel “has that same independent spirit.” Gordon-Levitt added “that’s what people love about it; he’s able to take that sensibility and that care and love for his work, and do it on a really large scale.” The two first worked together in the critically acclaimed 2010 sci-fi action movie ‘Inception,’ after Gordon-Levitt replaced James Franco…

Sure, it’s fun getting early peeks at upcoming productions, but it’s a different story if those first looks are coming from anywhere else, but the studio in charge. Hearing that John Travolta, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme may be in The Expendables 2 from the Nu Boyana Studios CEO? Good. Seeing official images of Anne Hathaway, Henry Cavill and Rihanna in full costume for The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel and Battleship respectively? Awesome. A parody video by Miles Fisher starring the entire cast of Final Destination 5? Bloody fantastic! Amateur photos and video of folks hanging around the set of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises? Now…

While there is no official word on this, Hollywood rumors are indicating today that Rachel Weisz could be tapped to portray Selina Kyle, aka The Catwoman, in the third Nolan Batman movie, a sequel to this past summer’s smash hit “The Dark Knight”. While Warner Bros will not comment on the rumor or even on the state of any pre-production on another Batman movie, others indicate a strong possibility about the Weisz rumor.
