The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Columbia has tapped Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer (“Sahara”, “Dead Of Night”, “Cowboys & Aliens”) to script the adaptation of the hit video game “Uncharted: Drake Fortune” for the big screen. Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner are all attached to produce. So far no director has been announced. Variety is reporting that acclaimed director Sam Raimi (the “Evil Dead” and “Spider-Man” films) has signed on to direct “Warcraft,” a live-action film adaptation of “World Of Warcraft”, the fantasy video game franchise. Legendary Pictures and Blizzard Entertainment are mounting the film, with Warner Brothers distributing and co-financing. Charles Roven, who produced “The Dark Knight”, is attached to produce. The “Warcraft” universe, first launched in 1994 with the first game, is about a fantasy war between the two races, the Horde and the Alliance.
