After having the opportunity to speak with the ones responsible for creating The Vampire Diaries and sending the show’s characters on one heck of a tumultuous adventure, writer-producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, we got to chat with two of the actors thrown right into the middle of it all, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev. SPOILER ALERT: Major season one and two spoilers in this interview. Season two came to a close with Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) exit. As dictated by his deal with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), he must leave Elena (Dobrev) behind to accompany Klaus on whatever it is he’s got planned, likely something devastating as he’s now an all-powerful…

While Hugh Jackman was at Comic-Con to promote his upcoming boxing drama ‘Real Steel,’ he confirmed he’ll be appearing in the new musical adaptation of ‘Les Miserables’ and revealed who the new villain will be in ‘The Wolverine,’ ReelzChannel is reporting. In ‘Les Miserables,’ which is being helmed by ‘The King’s Speech’ Academy Award-winning director Tom Hooper, Jackman will portray ex-convict Jean Valjean. He also said that ‘The Wolverine’ villain will be Silver Samurai, which came as no surprise to ‘X-Men’ fans. Jackman confirmed that ‘Les Miserables’ will begin shooting in February 2012. His character was portrayed by Liam Neeson in the 1998 non-musical film version of the popular play….

While discussing their upcoming new CW series ‘The Secret Circle’ at this year’s Comic-Con, the show’s producers revealed that while key elements will remain true to the trilogy book series, several elements will derive from the source material, TVGuide is reporting. Executive producer Kevin Williamson, who also produces the CW’s hit series ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ which is also based on a book series, said that “(The books) are a great place to jump off from..It’s a wonderful world, which I hope I could add to it, spin it around and let go.” ‘The Secret Circle’ will follow Cassie Blake, played by ‘Life Unexpected’s Britt Robertson, who moves to Chance Harbor,…

I can’t believe it, but I’ve reached the finish line. Saturday at San Diego Comic Con 2011 has come to a close. While I’m certainly looking forward to a long day’s rest and not having to lug my hefty laptop around everywhere I go, my coverage schedule wrapping up is a bit sad. At least it all ended on a high note. Today was another non-stop adventure beginning with Summit Entertainment’s The Darkest Hour presentation. Unlike the big panels in Hall H, this was far more intimate, Summit inviting a group of reporters to a suite in the Hard Rock Hotel to check out some concept art, stills and the…

If you’re looking for details on a television show’s upcoming season, who better to talk to than the show’s writer-producers? Just before hitting the stage of The Vampire Diaries panel, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson spent some time in the pressroom for some more intimate conversations on the show’s third season. SPOILER ALERT: These interviews contain MAJOR season one and two spoilers. While Plec never crosses over into spoiler territory in terms of the new material, she certainly doesn’t hold back in the least when it came to discussing what to expect come September 15th. She speaks quite a bit about Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) fate, as he’s a young…

Who wants to grow up? There’s so much fun to be had as a kid with games, toys and imagination, it’s a wonder that more folks out there aren’t like Griff of Leon Ford’s Griff the Invisible. Okay, perhaps Griff is a bit of an extreme, but the concept of holding onto a childhood dream is something just about everyone can relate to to a degree. A bit of a recluse, Griff (Ryan Kwanten) hides in his office cubicle during the day, but, at night, he heads home to man his computer station, monitoring the local area for crime. When something pops up on his radar, he suits up and…

How many alien invasion films can we handle? This year alone we’ve already had Battle: Los Angeles, Super 8, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and both Attack the Block and Cowboys and Aliens are on the way. Sure, I can’t drape a sense of negativity over all of them, but, let’s face it, ET’s taking over the Earth is a bit, well, overdone. However, after checking out Summit Entertainment’s The Darkest Hour presentation this morning, I can assure you that at least one of the upcoming alien takeover films is worth keeping an eye on. A group of reporters hit a specially outfitted room in the Hard Rock Hotel, decked…

That’s that for Friday at San Diego Comic Con and I’m back at home base, well, the hotel. Today was a particularly busy one as I got a taste of exactly how long those lines for Hall H and Ballroom 20 can get. I thought I was jumping the gun by showing up three hours early for the 11:15am panel for The Walking Dead, but apparently about 10,000 people had the exact same idea, as the line stretched from the convention hall all the way down to the bay. Lucky for me, I was able to work some press related magic and get a seat, but for those other 10,000…

Now that the Twilight madness is long gone, there’s room for more vampires at San Diego Comic Con, Jerry Dandridge to be exact. Colin Farrell stars as the new vampire next door with his eye on sucking the blood out of all of poor Charley Brewster’s (Anton Yelchin) loved ones. To gear up for the film’s August 19th release, Farrell and Yelchin as well as Imogen Poots who plays Charley’s girlfriend, Amy, Christopher Mintz-Plasse who plays his best pal, “Evil” Ed, director Craig Gillespie, writer Marti Noxon and Chris Sarandon, Jerry Dandridge from Tom Holland’s 1985 original, hit the Hilton Bayfront to discuss their revamped version of Fright Night. As…
