Fans of the primetime soap opera “Dallas” can either breathe a sigh of relief or a sigh of sadness; TNT has greenlit a reboot of the popular cult classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This version of “Dallas” will star original “Dallas” stars Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and “J.R.” himself, Larry Hagman. The show will also star Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, and Brenda Strong. TNT has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which is slated to premiere in summer 2012. Jordana Brewester is the first actress to land a lead role on TNT’s ‘Dallas’ reboot, TVline.com is reporting. The new update on the classic 1980s prime-time soap opera was written by Cynthia Cidre and Warner Horizon. It will focus on cousins John Ross and Christopher, the children of J.R. and Bobby Ewing, who are in the middle of a feud over the future of the family dynasty. Brewster has been cast as Elena, the daughter of the ranch cook. Elena further antagonizes John and Christopher by entering into a love triangle with them. Brewester will be joined by Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, who will reprise their roles of Sue…

According to Ozzfest.com, Ozzfest will return this year for a one-day only festival in Dallas, Texas Saturday, August 9. Ozzy Osbourne will be accompanied by Metallica, Serj Tankian, Jonathan Davis, Hellyeah’s Vinnie Paul (Pantera) and Chad Gray. Others include Sevendust, Drowning Pool, Shadows Fall, Devildriver, and many more. “Ozzy just finished an 11-month world tour so I think he deserves a summer off,” says Sharon Osbourne.
