During a party thrown in celebration of the latest installment of the famous horror series Friday the 13th, one of the franchise’s original stars was injured and taken to the hospital. Warrington Gillette, who played the original Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part 2, attended the party in full Jason costume and took the stage as part of a joke to frighten attendees. However, his plan went south when a female partygoer jumped on stage and tried to wrestle an axe he was holding to the ground, reenacting bits from the cult series, which resulted in Gillette cutting open his hand.
