Writers Named For Another Batman Movie

David Goyer and Jonah Nolan, brother of director Christopher Nolan, were mentioned as already working on a script for a third Nolan-directed “Batman” film, a followup to 2005′s “Batman Begins” and 2008′s “The Dark Knight”. Goyer recently announced his departure as showrunner from ABC’s “FlashForward” to concentrate on his film work, specifically mentioning working with Chris Nolan’s brother Jonah on the Batman film, which has been long-rumored ever since the release and record-breaking theater run of “The Dark Knight”. The Dark Knight IMAX Re-Release Locations

No Dark Knight Release For China

Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. will not attempt at distributing “The Dark Knight” in China, despite a strong foreign box office payoff for the film at over $450 million. Warner released this statement about the situation, saying that “Based on a number of pre-release conditions that are being attached to ‘The Dark Knight’ as well as cultural sensitivities to some elements of the film, we have opted to forego a theatrical release of the film in China”. Though studio executives declined to comment on the story, “The Dark Knight” included scenes shot in Hong Kong, that depict the hero Batman in the city itself, which could have created difficulties…

Warner Bros. Plans Dark Knight Rerelease in January

Hoping to keep focus on the film during the height of Oscar season, Warner Bros. is planning to rerelease their summer Batman smash sequel The Dark Knight this January. As a source for The Hollywood Reporter told the trade magazine regarding the film’s rerelease, “It’s just a matter of bringing it back as a reminder for people”.
