David Gordon Green has signed onto write and direct the film adaptation of Evan Mandery’s novel ‘Q,’ Collider is reporting. The ‘Pineapple Express’ helmer will work on the movie, which is being prodcued by Matt Tolmach and Pouya Shahbazian, for Columbia Pictures. ‘Q’ follows an unnamed hero as he prepares for the wedding to the love of his life, Q. Some people will say 2011 isn’t a great year for movies. I would tend to disagree with that sentiment. It’s true the number of great films (so far) in 2011 are fewer than 2010 but the ones we do have in 2011 are pretty spectacular and worth watching and discussing.
