‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ director David Slade had been picked by 20th Century Fox to helm its reboot of the Marvel comic Daredevil, www.comingsoon.net is reporting. Slade has yet to sign an official deal with Fox, but reports are saying that he’s very close to signing one. This will be the studio’s second adaptation of Daredevil. The first, which starred Ben Affleck in the title role and was directed by Mark Steven Johnson, was released to mix reviews inn 2003. However, the new reboot won’t be connected to Johnson’s version, or its 2005 spin-off, ‘Elecktra,’ starring Affleck’s wife, Jennifer Garner. Fox needs to be actively producing a Daredevil movie in…

It’s finally happening; Lionsgate is making some progress on the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games. Back in May word got out that the director would be announced by the summer. Clearly that didn’t happen, but it’s okay because it is now and it was certainly worth the wait because the studio has three possibilities all of whom are top-notch options. The guys in the running for the job are Gary Ross, Sam Mendes and David Slade. I say they cross Ross off the list first.
