The Reaping has taken place in District 1 and the luxury-making region of Panem has its tributes; Leven Rambin and Jack Quaid, son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, join the cast of The Hunger Games as Glimmer and Marvel, respectively. Dennis Quaid has admitted to newsweek.com that he became addicted to cocaine when he first moved to Los Angeles in 1974, and it was the biggest mistake of his life. The actor, who can currently be seen in the biographical drama ‘Soul Surfer,’ said he used the drug casually at first, at parties. “Cocaine was even in the budgets of movies, thinly disguised,” Quaid also said. He revealed that he eventually began taking it even more, as it was supplied on movie sets because everyone was doing it and making deals with it. Dennis Quaid is finally discussing the fact that his twins nearly died when they were first born in 2007, due to an error made by the staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The actor told the Associated Press (AP) that the twins, named Thomas and Zoe, were accidentally given an overdose of heparin, a blood thinner. The actor said the twins’ lives were in danger for 41 hours, which he called the worst two days of his and his wife Kimberly’s lives. Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt, AnnaSophia Robb, Carrie Underwood, Lorraine Nicholson and Kevin Sorbo will all be starring in the indie drama “Soul Surfer,” about surfer Bethany Hamilton, who survived a brutal shark attack while surfing at 13. Sean McNamara is directing the project, which is based on Hamilton’s autobiography. Robb will star as Hamilton, with Quaid and Hunt playing her parents.
