As we reported a couple of weeks ago, Julia Stiles was in final negotiations to join the cast of Dexter in season five. Now, it’s official; Stiles has sealed the deal to appear on the show for ten episodes. Even better, Showtime’s press release includes a brief yet telling character description. Michael C. Hall, who is most recognized for playing the serial killer title character on the hit Showtime show ‘Dexter,’ has fully recovered from Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His wife and co-star, Jennifer Carpenter, broke the news on April 23 when she confirmed it to Associated Press (AP). Carpenter also said that her husband has been “incredibly brave” since he publicly announced in January that he had a treatable form of the disease and was in remission. He recovered at a health care facility near Los Angeles. Hall was kept busy after the announcement, having a busy awards season. Hall, more commonly known for his portrayal of the title role-serial killer protagonist on Showtime’s hit series ‘Dexter,’ has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, his representative Craig Bankey confirmed Wednesday, January 13 to CNN. Bankey added that the disease is in complete remission. In a statement released by the actor that same day, the actor said he was fortunate enough to be diagnosed with a “treatable and curable condition,” and thanked his doctors for their help.
