Showtime has canceled the comedy-drama series ‘United States of Tara’ after three seasons, but has renewed fellow dark comedy ‘Nurse Jackie’ for a fourth season, TVLine is reporting. ‘United States of Tara,’ which was created by ‘Juno’ writer Diablo Cody and Steven Spielberg, starred Toni Collette in the title role, a mother with multiple personalities. The actress won the 2009 Emmy Award and 2011 Golden Globe for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. “Juno” was one of my favorite movies of 2007, so I was really happy to see director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody team up again for a new movie. The name of the film is “Young Adult” and will feature Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson, and Elizabeth Rease. Theron will play a writer of young adult novels who comes back home to the small town she grew up in, to relive her past glory and win back her married sweetheart, who will be played by Wilson. The new season premieres Monday, March 22nd at 10:30PM ET/PT.
