Don Murphy is looking to take another cartoon to the big screen. The “Transformers” producer is looking to give “Captain Planet” a movie treatment, according to CinemaBlend. Variety is reporting that Nikolaj Arcel is set to direct a live-action adaptation of DC’s comic book “Deadman” for Warner Bros Pictures. Famed director and producer Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth), alongside Don Murphy and Susan Montford from Angry Films, is producing the DC Comics adaptation. Deadman created in 1967 by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, and is a murdered circus acrobat who is trapped as a ghost and has the power to possess the living in order to help the innocent and eventually, to find out who was his killer.
