Farmiga and Monaghan Joining Source Code

Vera Farmiga (“Up in the Air”) and Michelle Monaghan (“Eagle Eye”) are set to join Jake Gyllenhaal in Duncan Jones’ upcoming sci-fi time-travel thriller “Source Code” for Summit Entertainment. The film is about a soldier who becomes part of a secret government program investigating a terrorist incident. He finds his mind transferred into the body of a commuter who must relive the day of the attack over and over until he can find out who is responsible and how to prevent it from happening. Farmiga will play a control-room communications officer monitoring Gyllenhaal, and Monaghan is slated to play a woman on that fateful train who is romantically involved with…

There’s a brand-new clip courtesy of io9.com and Sci-Fi Wire from the upcoming Sam Rockwell sci-fi/suspense film “Moon” out now. You can see the clip below. Duncan Jones is directing the film about lone astronaut and lunar mining operation operator Sam Bell, played by Sam Rockwell. Bell is forced to come face-to-face with his own demons and the hideous secrets of his employers as his time on the surface of the moon comes to an end and he makes a horrific discovery. “Moon” also stars Kevin Spacey, and will be in theaters on June 12th, 2009. Duncan Jones Directing Escape From The Deep

Duncan Jones will direct the upcoming historical suspense/drama film “Escape From The Deep,” from a script by writer Alex Kershaw. Kershaw’s book is the story of a legendary WWII US navy submarine trapped at the bottom of the Pacific after a torpedo malfunction. The crew managed to escape by risking the bends and death and swimming over a hundred feet to the surface of the Pacific. Jones, has also directed the upcoming Sam Rockwell film “Moon.” The film will be produced by U.S. production banner Brilliant Films.
