Bryan Cranston has joined the cast of the upcoming live-action/CGI Disney project “John Carter of Mars.” Andrew Stanton is directing the film, which is set to begin filming next week. The story follows a Civil War veteran who mystically finds himself transported to the ancient history of the planet Mars, where he becomes embroiled in the wars raging between the various people of the planet, not all of which are friendly or even human-looking. Lynn Collins, who will be starring in “The Burning Plain”, the upcoming planned live-action adaptation of the “John Carter, Warlord of Mars” franchise recently talked to MTV about the Edgar Rice Burroughs space fantasy classic.
