Edward Norton is currently in negotiations to play the villain in the upcoming ‘Bourne Legacy,’ the Huffington Post is reporting. Not much information has been revealed about the role yet. But Norton’s talks with the producers comes after they interviewed numerous actors to replace Matt Damon in the reboot, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Garrett Hedlund, Taylor Kitsch and Tobey Magure, before the role ultimately went to Jeremy Renner. Milla Jovovich has signed onto “Stone” alongside Robert De Niro and Edward Norton, which will be directed by John Curran from an Angus MacLachlan screenplay. The film is being produced by Mimran Schur Pictures. Jordan Schur, Holly Wiersma, and David Mimran are producing, with Nu Image/Millennium’s Danny Dimbort, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, and Rene Besson on as executive producers. Jovovich will play the wife of a convicted arsonist, played by Norton. She engages in a secret affair with his parole officer, played by De Niro, entrapping him in a series of deadly mental games in an effort to get Norton paroled. Robert De Niro and Edward Norton have been attached to star in the indie thriller “Stone.” The film will be helmed by John Curran, written by Angus MacLachlan and produced by Holly Wiersma, David Mimran, and Jordan Schur, the latter two from Mimran Shur Picturess who will be overseeing the film’s production. Avi Lerner, Renee Besson, Danny Dimbort and Trevor Short are executive producing. The story of “Stone” follows a correctional officer (Robert De Niro) who is seduced by the wife of a convicted arsonist (Edward Norton), who is up for parole. Actor Edward Norton has produced a documentary chronicling the journey of America’s next President Barack Obama’s to the White House. Norton’s production company Class 5 Films has closed a deal with bosses at HBO who will then plan to air the finished series in early 2009. The actor reportedly approached Obama in 2006 to document his entrance into the world of politics with his role as a senator for the state of Illinois. Directors Alicia Sams (Election Day) and Amy Rice (“Little Beauties: Ultimate Kiddie Queen Showdown”) filmed extensive footage of the Obama in his Illinois years and continued to capture the politician as he kicked off his presidential campaign…
