Facebook To Launch First Film, The Perfect House, October 1

Popular social network Facebook has now moved into the foray of movie distribution. The network’s new movie distribution platform FlickLaunch will debut its first film, horror anthology “The Perfect House,” October 1. The film will then be available as a seven day rental on the film’s Facebook page. The film stars Monique Parent, Felissa Rose, Will Robertson, Andrea Vahl, Chris Raab, Jonathan Tiersten and John Philbin and directed by Kris Hulbert and Randy Kent. Currently, the directors are on an American road tour to promote the film. Facebook Closes Prison Inmate Facebook Accounts

According to MSNBC, Facebook is now closing the accounts of prison inmates after a convicted child molester was caught viewing the pages of his victim from behind bars. News of this came from authorities and Facebook itself Tuesday. The site has shut down the accounts of at least two inmates and, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, officials are currently working to see what other accounts have been seen in prison. The corrections officials officially announced their partnership with the social networking site Monday after receiving hundreds of complaints from victims who were contacted by jailed inmates. Trent Reznor Scoring The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Remake

Singer Trent Reznor, who shocked movie-goers when he scored last year’s hit ‘The Social Network,’ is reteaming with the film’s director, David Fincher, to create the music for his latest film, Collider.com is reporting. Rashida Jones is joining the cast of Columbia Pictures’ “The Social Network,” the story of the founding and rise of the worldwide social networking website Facebook.
