Gore Verbinski to Make Second Life Film
Thursday, December 18th, 2008Universal Pictures and filmmaker Gore Verbinski (The Pirates of the Carribean series, The Ring, The Mexican) have bought the rights to use a 2007 Wall Street Journal article they plan on developing for the basis of a film about the online fantasy role-playing world known as Second Life. Verbinski is set to direct and Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Amazing Grace, Dirty Pretty Things) will pen the script.
