The New York Times recently interviewed director Olive Stone, where he gave a few hints about the upcoming “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps”, the sequel to the 1987 film starring Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen and that is due in theaters April 23rd, 2010. Stone gave a bit of a synopsis about the film and also dropped that Charlie Sheen’s character from the first film, Bud Fox, makes a cameo appearance to try to warn Jake Moore (Shia LaBeouf), the latest protege of Douglas’s unscrupulous businessman Gekko. Frank Langella had to fight for his role of former U.S. President Richard Nixon in Frost/Nixon because studio bosses wanted to give the role to screen legend Warren Beatty. Langella had played the role onstage in London and New York in its original stage run, but when producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer decided to adapt it for the big screen, they knew they would have difficulty convincing executives Langella should keep the role.
