Next Bourne Movie May Be Prequel

If Universal Pictures decides to make another Bourne movie, it will probably be a prequel detailing the event of what happened before the first movie, ‘The Bourne Identity.’ It will also most likely feature a new actor and director, Matt Damon told Empire Magazine on the red carpet for the premiere of Clint Eastwood’s Invictus. There have been a lot of questions about whether or not Universal would continue the series since the latest edition, ‘The Bourne Ultimatum,’ earned $442,911,572 worldwide after its release in August 2007. Bryce Dallas Howard Joins Hereafter

Bryce Dallas Howard has signed to star in Clint Eastwood’s supernatural drama “Hereafter” for Warner Brothers, joining Matt Damon. Written by Peter Morgan, “Hereafter” is the story of a blue-collar American, a London school boy, and a French journalist who are all touched by death in various ways. “Hereafter” is being produced by Eastwood, along with Kathleen Kennedy and Robert Lorenz. On as executive producers are Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Peter Morgan and Tim Moore. Filming on “Hereafter” has already begun in Paris, London, Hawaii and San Francisco. Sony To Bring Fathers And Guns To The US

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Sony has picked up the rights to remake “Fathers And Guns”, the French-Canadian hit action/comedy film The project is being developed and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall. Emile Gaudreault, the writer and director of the original, as well as Denise Robert, the original’s producer, are also onboard to produce. “Fathers And Guns” is about a father and son who both are cops, but cannot stand each other. Cecile De France Joins Hereafter

Variety.com is reporting that Cecile de France (“High Tension”) has been attached to star opposite Matt Damon in Clint Eastwood’s “Hereafter”, his upcoming supernatural drama for Warner Bros. Written by Peter Morgan, “Hereafter” is about three different people who are all touched by death and affected in different ways by their experiences. Principal photography began last month on “Hereafter.” The project is being produced by Eastwood, Kathleen Kennedy and Robert Lorenz, with Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Tim Moore, and Peter Morgan onboard as executive producers. “Hereafter” is slated for a tentative December 2010 release.
