F3AR Blood

F.3.A.R. Game Review

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

How much fear can one game deliver? In the case of F.3.A.R (also called Fear 3) I discover that the third installment in the storyline of Alma and her sons “Point Man” and Paxton Fettel, doesn’t deliver the heart stopping stimulations of the first two games. The F.E.A.R. franchise is famous for random psychic interactions with nightmares crawling from pools of blood, and shadows running across corridors when you least expect them. What it lacks in namesake it makes up for with game play action and multiplayer content. The game comes from a different developer than the first two, Day 1 Studios, and released on June 21, 2011 in North…

King of Fighters XII

King of Fighters XII Video Game Review

Friday, September 4th, 2009

King of Fighters XII (2009) System: Xbox-360, PlayStation 3, Arcade Scores: Graphics: 90, Sound: 80, Gameplay: 70, Overall: 80 Review: The King of Fighters XII is the latest addition to the series of King of Fighters games by SDK Playmore. King of Fighters XII is definitely not your run-of-the-mill fighting game. You don’t have to be a fighting guru to enjoy King of Fighters, the combos are relatively simple and every character is pretty well matched. What I was quite impressive with was the graphics and gameplay. The only thing really lacking about the game is the $60 price tag and the extremely laggy online match fighting, which I’m sure…

G.I. Joe The Video Game

GI Joe The Rise of Cobra Video Game Review

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra – The Game (2009) System: Xbox-360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, PlayStation Portable, Wireless, Nintendo DS Scores: Graphics: 60, Sound: 80, Gameplay: 80, Overall: 74 ESRB Rating: T for Fantasy Violence Review: I’ve been a G.I. Joe fan for most of my life, having grown up with the action figures and Saturday morning cartoon. I never really believed that they could make a halfway decent live action film from this cartoon action hero. I was wrong, the film was actually quite decent! So, when I got my copy of EA’s video game based on the film, I thought… this might be good? I was…

A Monster from Sacred 2

Sacred 2 Fallen Angel Game Review

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (2009) System: Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC Scores: Graphics: 70, Sound: 90, Gameplay: 90, Overall: 83 Review: I’m not a huge fan of role playing games, most of them can be quite slow and boring, but there was something about Sacred 2 that kept me playing…and playing for hours and seemingly endless hours. A variety of entertaining missions, tons of really cool enemies and monsters makes Sacred 2 tons of fun! Like typical RPG style games, it’s mostly hack and slash…but oddly, it’s still very entertaining. Sacred 2 does have its faults however, mostly in the graphics department and lack of storyline, but all of…

If a picture is worth a thousand words then a picture of Peter Molyneux would be filled with thousands of phrases like “Gamer God” and “Computer Programming Genius”. Creating such games like “Black & White”, “Populous”, “Theme Park”, “Fable” and many more. If you’re a PC gamer then you’ve played his games and now you’re waiting on his next great creation “Fable 2″.
