Billie Joe Armstrong was forced to leave a Southwest Airlines flight on September 1 after he refused to pull up his pants, US Magazine is reporting. The Green Day frontman was preparing for take-off on the flight from Oakland to Burbank, California when a flight attendant approached him and asked him to pull his pants up. Armstrong refused, asking “Don’t you have better things to do than worry about that?” The flight attendant repeated the request, and the singer responded by saying “I’m just trying to get to my f**cking seat!” The singer and his companion were then removed from the flight. American Idiot, the successful Broadway musical based on the hit 2004 Green Day album of the same name, is being negotiated by Universal Pictures to be adapted into a feature film, deadline.com is reporting. Universal is looking at Dustin Lance Black, who won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar in 2009 for ‘Milk,’ to pen the script. Michael Mayer, who directed the Broadway musical, which is closing April 24, is in talks to helm the film version. Green Day have just released a behind-the-scenes look at their new video for “Know Your Enemy.” The clip, while short, gives a glimpse into what’s in store for fans in the forthcoming video.
