Well, as they say, when one door closes, another one opens. I was looking forward to Eddie Murphy being the host of the 84th Academy Awards, but when he and Brett Ratner (who was then one of the Oscar producers), that dream was killed. In comes a bit of news that filled a void a never thought I had. According to CinemaBlend, movie composer Hans Zimmer and pop superstar Pharrell Williams have been asked to collaborate for the Oscars as music consultants. Hans Zimmer Not Composing New Superman Movie

After rumors began swirling that Hans Zimmer would score the next ‘Superman’ movie for director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan, the famous composer quickly dismissed the story, Cinemablend.com is reporting. Zimmer spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the rumors, saying he hasn’t even thought about working on the film, and he is the victim of an out-of-context vote. Zimmer added that he “wouldn’t even know how to go and give voice” to the film. He just thinks the reports were a result of his connections to Nolan.
