Zachary Quinto, who rose to fame playing Spock in the hit 2009 ‘Star Trek’ film, has revealed that he’s gay, the New York Daily News is reporting. The actor publicly opened up about his sexual orientation for the first time, saying his most recent role portraying a gay man in the off-Broadway play ‘Angels in America’ encouraged him to get in touch with himself. Marvel Studios Developing Three Live-Action Superhero Television Series

Three new live-action television series are in the works at Marvel Studios, Slashfilm.com is reporting. After Disney acquired the studio, Jeph Loeb, who has previously worked on such shows as ‘Lost,’ ‘Heroes,’ ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Smallville,’ was appointed to run the television division. He decided to bring the three series, based on Marvel superheroes, to the small screen. Zachary Quinto (“Heroes”, “Stark Trek”) is slated to portray the famed composer and pianist George Gershwin in an upcoming DreamWorks Pictures biopic, one of three projects on the calender that Steven Spielberg is looking at directing. Shooting on the film could begin as soon as April 2010, based on a script by Doug Wright that Marc Platt and singer/pianist Michael Feinstein are producing. Gershwin was 38 when he passed away in in 1937 due to complications from what is considered to be a tumor. Heroes Actor Jimmy-Jean Louis Visits Family in Haiti

While many Hollywood celebrities are donating money to Haiti after last week’s 7.0 earthquake, which is the greatest earthquake recorded in the world in 200 years, actor Jimmy-Jean Louis traveled to his native country to visit his parents and family.  While they are having a hard time coping with the disaster, Louis told RadarOnline.com his family is safe. The “Heroes” star also said that initially he feared his family was dead.  But when Louis discovered they were indeed alive, they made peace with the fact that he was going to visit them.  When they reunited, it was very emotional, he said, but also very nice that they could be together….

Fox Planning To Reboot Fantastic Four Films

Variety is reporting that 20th Century Fox has begun overhauling the “Fantastic Four” movie franchise for a “reboot” over the two films that were released in 2005 and 2007. Akiva Goldsman has been hired to produce the reboot, and Michael Green, (co-exec producer, “Heroes”) who co-wrote the script for the upcoming “Green Lantern”, will write the script. It is unclear if any of the cast from the previous films will be returning for the new film. “The Fantastic Four” first appeared in 1961 from Marvel Comics and were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
