Friday, October 21st, 2011

Our love for Jane’s Addiction just keeps on growing. Not only do we give them credit for showing us how rock has no boundaries, but also for proving to us that time does not have to dictate a career. It has been eight long years since the legendary band has released a studio album, but as of October 18th that has changed. Well, let’s bump that announcement up a week because as of Tuesday, October 11th, “The Great Escape Artist” started streaming on iTunes. The band’s fourth studio album has been mastered specifically for iTunes to optimize sound quality when downloaded. Click here to listen to the album! “The Great…

Interview: D Generation Are Feeling The Love Again

Monday, October 3rd, 2011

Our parents know best is a saying that we have often grown up hearing, but neglected to absorb. We spent most of our teenage years fighting those wise words, but in our twenties now, we have come to terms that it is true. Listening to the music therapists within us, we credit the music of the past for opening up the doors to our parents. Exclusive The Spill Canvas Interview with Toxic Shock TV

Monday, June 16th, 2008

The Spill Canvas/Toxic Shock interview at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza, June 11, 2008 Toxic Shock: Hello, this is Karen Benardello from Toxic Shock, and I’m here with Joe Beck, the drummer from the rock-emo group The Spill Canvas, at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York City. So Joe, why did you decide to join a band? Joe Beck: It’s kind of been a dream since I was kid, to play music. Obviously, when kids join bands in high school and middle school, they don’t even think it’s going to become anything. But it kept becoming more serious, and here we are today. TS: Who were some of…

REVIEW: The Spill Canvas at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in NY

Monday, June 16th, 2008

The stage was lit with flashing blue, red and yellow strobe lights. The crowd, which consisted of teens and 20-somethings (and a scarce scattering of parents), packed the room from wall to wall, holding their drinks in one hand and waving their other hand in the air. Move over, Justin Timberlake; the alternative rock/emo group The Spill Canvas is the new favorite in New York City for girls and guys alike. The group stopped at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza on June 11, 2008, as they are currently headlining their first nationwide tour to endorse their fourth album, No Really, I’m Fine, which was released by Sire Records on October…
