Danny McBride Bringing Hench To Life

Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to the new AIT/PlanetLar graphic novel “Hench” and are planning to develop it into a vehicle for Danny McBride, who is set to write the script alongside Shawn Harwell. Neal Moritz of Original Films, alongside Kickstart Productions’ Jason Netter and McBride. Ken Levin and Ori Marmur will executive produce “Hench”. McBride will play the comic’s titular character, a football player who suffers a career-ending injury and needing a job, ends up signing on as a henchman for a successful evil supervillain. Writing Team For Robotech Remake Tapped

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, writers from the WB’s Superman hit “Smallville”, have been signed to write a film adaptation of “Robotech” for Warner Bros. Akiva Goldsman, Chuck Roven, Tobey Maguire and Drew Crevello are attached to produce, and the film will be executive produced by Frank Agrama and Jason Netter. Robotech is an animated sci-fi robot franchise that was launched by an 85-episode adaptation of three different anime television series, “Super Dimension Fortress Macross”, “Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross”, and “Genesis Climber Mospeada”.
