Carl Erik Rinsch Latest Director to Leave Logan's Run Remake

The directors attached to Warner Brothers’ new proposed “Logan’s Run” remake have as short of a life as the characters in the film, and  Carl Erik Rinsch is no exception. The commercial director, who was the latest attached to helm the remake of the 1976 movie, has left the project to instead concentrate on Universal’s ’47 Ronin’ with Keanu Reeves, Slashfilm.com is reporting. Now Joel Silver and Akiva Goldsman, the producers of ‘Logan’s Run,’ are yet again looking for someone else to direct the movie, which was penned by ’28 Days Later’ screenwriter Alex Garland. Sebastian Stan Joins The Apparition

Sebastian Stan (“Kings”, “Gossip Girl”) has been cast in Dark Castle’s “The Apparition”. Stan joins Ashley Greene (Twilight) and Luke Pasqualino in the project, which is about a couple who begin being haunted by an unknown supernatural presence in the wake of a mysterious college experiment. Todd Lincoln wrote the script and is also directing the project. Joel Silver, Andrew Rona, and Alex Heineman are all producing “The Apparition”, with Daniel Alter on-board as executive producer. Guy Ritchie Directing Lobo

Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. Pictures has tapped “Snatch” and “Sherlock Holmes” director Guy Ritchie to direct a live-action adaptation of DC Comic’s “Lobo,” a title about a foul-mouthed hyperactive bounty hunter from space. Don Payne wrote the most recent script, and Joel Silver, Akiva Goldsman and Andrew Rona will be producing the project, which will be a co-production between Weed Road and Silver Pictures. Joel Silver’s Dark Castle will be producing “I Saw What You Did,” a remake of the 1965 horror film “I Saw What You Did and I Know Who You Are!” Patrick Lussier is attached to direct, and he and Todd Farmer are writing. Guy Ritchies Sherlock Holmes Starts Production In London

Guy Ritchie, the acclaimed filmmaker behind “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”, “Snatch” and the recent “RocknRolla” is starting principal photography on his “Sherlock Holms” film in London, according to Warner Bros.
