As someone currently testing the filmmaking waters, speaking to a director like Azazel Jacobs is incredibly encouraging. For lack of better terms, Jacobs’ work isn’t motivated by the fame and the fortune, rather a passion for storytelling. Jacobs has already delivered a few well-received features all getting their due praise on the festival circuit and, while Jacobs is confident he’s made it, I’d like to see him take it one step further as his latest feature, Terri, is certainly deserving of more widespread attention. Megan Fox and John C. Reilly have both been cast in cameo roles in the upcoming Sacha Baron Cohen comedy ‘The Dictator,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. Not much information has been revealed about what roles the two will be portraying in the Paramount movie that’s currently filming in New York. Sigourney Weaver, John C. Reilly and Alia Shawkat have been announced as joining Ed Helms and Anne Heche in the upcoming Fox Searchlight comedy “Cedar Rapids,” directed by Miguel Arteta. Written by Phil Johnston, the film is about a salesman (Helms) who goes to a regional convention in a last-ditch effort to save his and his coworkers’ jobs. Weaver, who next appears in James Cameron’s upcoming “Avatar”, is slotted to play Helms’s former 7th-grade teacher. Reilly’s and Shawkat’s roles have not been announced yet. LOS ANGELES – In celebration of the upcoming release, Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant will be allowing fans to join the freak show through the launch of a brand new “iFreak” iPhone and iPod Touch application. The “iFreak” application allows users to take a photo (or select one from an existing album) and transform into their favorite freak from the film. Users will be allowed to mix and match characters and add endless features.
