Disney Adapting Electric Boy Genius for Big Screen

Disney is adapting another true-life story for the big screen, based on a GQ article about young inventor Ryan Patterson, Slashfilm.com is reporting. The movie, which will be called ‘Electric Boy Genius,’ will follow Patterson, also an electrical engineer, who invented an electronic sign-language device when he was just 17 years-old. The device used sensors that allowed users to wear a glove, which translated hand movements into words on a screen. Andrew Corsello, who wrote the article, also described how Patterson won the 2001 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. Jennifer Aniston Joins The Goree Girls

According to a report by Variety.com, Michael Sucsy will be making his feature directorial debut with “Goree Girls,” starring Jennifer Aniston about the true story of an all-female country band in a 1940′s Texas prison. Written by John Lee Hancock, who rewrote the first draft by Margaret Nagle, the story is based on a 2003 article in the “Texas Monthly” by Skip Hollandsworth. Eight women in the prison formed one of the first all-female country & western in the country, becoming a public favorite in the prison and surrounding community and were eventually even pardoned.
