Disney Adapting Electric Boy Genius for Big Screen
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010Disney is adapting another true-life story for the big screen, based on a GQ article about young inventor Ryan Patterson, Slashfilm.com is reporting. The movie, which will be called ‘Electric Boy Genius,’ will follow Patterson, also an electrical engineer, who invented an electronic sign-language device when he was just 17 years-old. The device used sensors that allowed users to wear a glove, which translated hand movements into words on a screen. Andrew Corsello, who wrote the article, also described how Patterson won the 2001 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. The victory landed him a job in aerospace robotics for Lockheed Martin. The movie is being helmed by John Lee…
