Robert De Niro and John Travolta have been cast in the upcoming action film ‘Killing Season,’ which will begin production on January 16, 2012, Collider is reporting. ‘Ghost Rider’ director Mark Steven Johnson has signed on to helm the movie, which is based on a script written by ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’s scribe Evan Daugherty. ‘Killing Season’ is set in the Appalachian Mountains, and follows an American military veteran, played by De Niro, who has retreated into a remote cabin in the woods. Daily Shock: Jeff Conaway Dead At 60 After Apparent Painkiller Overdose

‘Taxi’ actor Jeff Conaway has died at the age of 60 in Encion, California, nine days after he was put into a medically induced coma, his manager, Phil Brock, has confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter. His family, including his sisters, nieces and nephews, were with him after they decided to take him off life support. Brock said Conaway, who rose to fame in the hit musical film ‘Grease,’ co-starring Johny Travolta was found unconscious May 11 from an apparent painkiller overdose. A while ago, Shockya reported that a biopic about mafia crime boss John Gotti was in the works. Today, news has been released that John Travolta, one of the people on the shortlist to play a Gotti, has been cast as Gotti’s son, John Gotti, Jr in the biopic “Gotti: Three Generations”. According to Variety, Travolta has been a name loosely connected to the film for months, having been one of the actors being considered to star. According to Entertainment Weekly, John Travolta is in serious discussion about playing mob boss John Gotti. The site reports that Marc Fiore, the CEO of Fiore Films, just might become the mob boss for an upcoming film about three generations of the Gotti crime family. “We would love to have him,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “He’s a terrific actor.” According to Fiore, Travolta is just the actor that could portray Gotti. “John Gotti, Sr. — he’s an icon.
