Like all years of cinema, 2011 has seen its fair share of posters. However, a large portion of them are, let’s face it, lazy. The increased marketability of actors and actresses, as well as some misuses of Photoshop, have made what was once a grand medium into just bland advertisement. With the release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon fast approaching, the cast and filmmakers are out and about spreading the word. And it’s not like they even have to. Back in 2007 Transformers snagged a massive $709.7 million at the worldwide box office only to be trumped by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and its enormous $836.3 million haul in 2009.
