Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are assembling the cast of “Jonah Hex”, a Western tale about a scarred bounty hunter battling sometime-supernatural terrors, for a 10-day reshoot in LA. Josh Brolin, John Malkovich, Megan Fox and Michael Fassbender have all been brought back for reshoots, though no test screenings for the film, an adaptation of the DC Comics’ character of the same name, have taken place yet. Jimmy Hayward is also back to direct the reshoots. “Jonah Hex” was initially slated for an August 6th, 2010 release, but has since been moved up to June 18th. “Horton Hears A Who” director Jimmy Hayward has been announced to direct the big-screen adaptation of “Jonah Hex”, the DC title about the scarred bounty hunter cowboy, which Josh Brolin is attached to star in as the titular gray-clad character. The relatively small title has been rumored to hit the silver screen since 1970, though a lawsuit over the rights to the character has complicated such an adaptation from ever seeing the light until recently when talks of the project gaining momentum surfaced in 2008, as well as of Brolin’s involvement with the picture. Hollywood Elsewhere is reporting on rumors that are confirming Josh Brolin will star in Warner Bros’ big-screen adaptation of the legendary Western comic character, Jonah Hex, to be directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Warner has no comments on the rumors, and Brolin’s representative is denying that there is any truth to the rumors at all, though Hollywood Elsewhere claims their source has the deal being “locked down” sometime last night. The source also claims that the script is a mix of CGI and Western action.
