Writer Attached To Deep Sea Cowboys

According to The Hollywood Reporter, writer Anthony Peckham (“Invictus”, “Sherlock Holmes”) has been attached to work on the script for “Deep Sea Cowboys”, the DreamWorks Studios action project. The action film is an adaptation of Joshua Davis’ article for Wired magazine, about an underwater salvage crew that tries to save a capsized Japanese cargo ship. The film will be a real-time adventure as the salvage crew race against the clock to get to the ship’s dangerous cargo and claim the reward for finding it. Diamond Heist Article Getting Adapted

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures has purchased the rights to the Wired Magazine article “The Untold Story of the World’s Biggest Diamond Heist,” by writer Joshua Davis, with plans to produce a big-screen version of the incredible story in the article. Josh Abrams (Star Trek) will take on the project as a producer and potentially as a director through his Bad Robot imprint. The production-management company Circle of Confusion, which manages Davis, is attached to produce alongside Davis, who will be an executive producer on the project. No writer has been hired yet.
