Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin Game Change

Game Change Trailer Gives First Glimpse Of Julianne Moore, Ed Harris As Sarah Palin, John McCain

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

TVLine has got the first trailer from HBO’s film “Game Change,” starring Ed Harris as Sen. John McCain and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. The trailer, which also features Woody Harrelson as McCain’s campaign manager Steve Schmidt, is amazing, simply for the fact that the casting was nailed perfectly. These actors look so much like the real-life people they’re portraying that it’s almost horrific. But it’s also amazing in how the film plays the Republican side out to be something of a horror story. From the first time we see Moore’s high-heeled foot step out of the car, we get the feeling that McCain and his campaign are going to…

Julianne Moore

Sarah Palin to be played by Julianne Moore in Game Change

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

In an unconventional choice of casting, HBO has announced that Julianne Moore has been cast to play former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin in the HBO movie “Game Change”, which chronicles the 2008 presidential election, according to The Huffington Post. The film is an adaptation of the tell-all book of the same name, written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann. Moore is the first of the bevy of actors cast for these intense roles, roles that include (of course) John McCain, then-Senator Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The role will be a very interesting one to see Moore tackle–she is a liberal-minded person and recently starred in the indie flick about…

The Kids Are All Right Poster

The Kids Are All Right Movie Review

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Title: The Kids Are All Right Directed By: Lisa Cholodenko Starring: Julianne Moore, Annette Bening, Mark Ruffalo, Mia Wasikowska, Josh Hutcherson Unpretentious family dramas are hard to come by. Even with good intentions, a film depicting the cause and effect of choices made at home can often come across as preachy, condescending and sometimes, just flat out wrong. The Kids Are All Right is just the opposite of that. It begins with those good intentions and flawlessly makes due on them through incredibly natural performances that bring a genuinely sincere story to life. Jules and Nic (Julianne Moore and Annette Bening) are a married couple living with their two kids,…

Mark Ruffalo Shows Opposition to Proposition-8

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Mark Ruffalo is the latest actor expressing his distaste for the Proposition-8 bill in California, FOXNews.com reported on July 2. Appearing in the new movie ‘The Kids Are Alright,’ which focuses on a married lesbian couple, played by Annette Benning and Julianne Moore, who have two teenage children, Ruffalo said the arguments against gay marriage is “so ridiculous” to him. The actor also said he’s confident that the opposition to same-sex couples getting married in California is almost over. He said he feels Prop-8 is “…the last dying, kicking, screaming, caged animal response to a world that is changing, a world that’s leaving a lot of those old, bigoted, un-accepting…
