Stephen Susco Writing Hack Slash

The horror news site Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Stephen Susco has been tapped by Relativity be the latest writer to take a crack at adapting the hit cult comic book “Hack/Slash” for a bit-screen film adaptation. Created by Tim Seeley and published by Devil’s Due Publishing, “Hack/Slash” is about teenage monster killer Cassie Hack, and her giant meat cleaver-wielding sidekick and protector Vlad. The two wander the country hunting down “slashers”, horror film-style serial kilers and supernatural beings. No casting or filming news has been released so far. Director Tapped For Hack Slash Film

Fredrik Bond has been tapped to direct the long-awaited big-screen adaptation of the hit Devil’s Due Publishing comic “Hack/Slash” for Rogue Pictures. Bond, who is also attached to direct a remake of the hit Korean horror movie “The Host” at Universal and the upcoming “The Hunger” for Warner Bros, has previously worked in TV commercials and music videos. Justin Marks wrote the scipt. Shadow Of The Colossus Getting The Big-Screen Treatment

MTV is reporting that the 2005 video game “Shadow Of The Colossus” is going to be getting the silver screen adaptation thanks to Sony and producer Kevin Misher. “Shadow Of The Colossus” focuses on a young man named Wander who travels across a mysterious and foreboding land, and must fight and defeat beings known as the Colossi to restore the life of a girl named Mono. The game is probably best known for not only its critical reception but soundtrack as well, which was well-received and referred to as a one of its stronger aspects.
