Mila Kunis arrived in Casadei nude leather peep-toe heels at a photocall in Cancun, Mexico on July 14, 2011 for her new movie ‘Friends with Benefits.’ She matched the shoes with a Monique Lhuillier floral lace dress at the event, which she attended with her co-star Justin Timberlake. The actress wore the Casadei shoes again later that day as she attended an interview with Timberlake. Kunis changed her outfit, and wore skinny jeans and a T-shirt with the blade pumps. In Your Opinion: Bad Teacher

Posted by monique On June - 27 - 2011 0 Comment

Last week, we touched a little bit on “Bad Teacher” in the “FilmFan” recap, but for those who don’t know about the film, “Bad Teacher” follows a, well…bad teacher Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz) who is looking for her Mr. Right after being stood up. She tries to snag a rich dweeb substitute Scott Delacorte (Justin Timberlake), but gym teacher Russell Gettis (Jason Segel) has eyes for her. The film has a mediocre rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the main consensus from critics is that “Bad Teacher” isn’t as awesome as “Bad Santa”; it goes for the jugular, but it fails to hit. Instead, it lingers around in middle-of-the-road territory. Also part  [ Read More ]

And we’re back to a weekend sans superhero movies. We’ve got two new wide releases making their debut both of which will likely struggle to fight off unhappy critics and powerful box office veterans. Cars 2 may be the one with the weaker reviews, but a whopping 4,115-theater count and the fact that it’s a sequel, will certainly give it the edge over Bad Teacher. Back in 2006, Cars opened to the tune of $60.1 million. Can its predecessor achieve the same? It looks like it. In 2008, the first Kung Fu Panda snagged a total of $60.2 million during week one, but Kung Fu Panda 2 started its run  [ Read More ]

Bad Teacher Movie Review

Title: Bad Teacher Directed By: Jake Kasdan Starring: Cameron Diaz, Lucy Punch, Jason Segel, Justin Timberlake, Phyllis Smith, John Michael Higgins, Matthew J. Evans, Kaitlyn Dever, Kathryn Newton, Noah Munck Think you had some bad teachers in school? Well, Cameron Diaz’s character in Bad Teacher is above and beyond. This is a movie though, so above and beyond can work, right? Of course, but it can also backfire big time and, oddly enough, Bad Teacher manages to do both with its incredibly preposterous titular character. (Keep those minds out of the gutter, please.) Elizabeth Halsey (Diaz) is on the verge of living the high life. She’s just about to marry  [ Read More ]

Bad Teacher Movie Review

Title: Bad Teacher Directed By: Jake Kasdan Written By: Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupnitsky Cast: Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Jason Segel, Lucy Punch, John Michael Higgins, Molly Shannon Screened at: E-Walk, NYC, 6/21/11 Opens: June 24, 2011 During my earliest days of teaching high school in New York, our union approved a strike vote. We won the strike, but the turnout was poor in elementary school (supposedly populated by frightened people or women who were simply making extra money for the family and were content), medium effective in high school, and terrific in junior highs. I was told that the junior highs-because of the difficulties of teaching kids that age-would have  [ Read More ]

A New Trailer And Poster Out For A 'Bad Teacher'

Posted by Melissa Molina On March - 10 - 2011 0 Comment

Cameron Diaz has always been one of those actresses that has won the audiences over, for the most part, no matter what film she’s participated in for years. There may not have been too much positive press on “Knight & Day,” but she may easily break out of that very brief 2010 funk with her latest film “Bad Teacher.” The Jake Kasdan-directed film stars Diaz along with a cast that includes Justin Timberlake, Jason Segel, Lucy Punch and John Michael Higgins. “Bad Teacher” centers on a foul-mouthed, ruthless, inappropriate teacher named Elizabeth (Diaz). She drinks, gets high and she can’t wait to marry her meal ticket and get out of  [ Read More ]

Justin Timberlake may star in The Three Stooges

Posted by monique On February - 23 - 2011 0 Comment

According to CinemaBlend, Justin Timberlake is one of the names in contention to play Larry in the Farrelly brothers’ film adaptation of “The Three Stooges”. Timberlake, along with Woody Harrelson and Larry David are up for the role; Hank Azaria and Johnny Knoxville are up for Moe, and Will Sasso and a bunch of unknown actors are up for Curly. Firstly, this is a random bunch of people competing for these roles. Secondly, it’s an even more random set of people who are competing for the same role. Azaria and Knoxville are at two completely opposite ends of the spectrum. Triply so for Timberlake, Harrelson and David. Let’s not even  [ Read More ]

Yogi Bear Movie Review

Title: Yogi Bear Director: Eric Brevig Starring: Dan Aykroyd (voice), Justin Timberlake (voice), Tom Cavanagh, Anna Faris, T.J. Miller, Nathan Corddry, Andrew Daly By: Joe Belcastro Just as no idle picnic basket is safe in Jellystone Park, there isn’t a cartoon series protected from a Hollywood 3D update. Yogi Bear is the latest property to be scooped up and the older crowd is hoping that their fond memories of the popular television series, isn’t put through the wood shredder. Aimed at the younger audiences, the 84 minute flick adjusts the human characters – which turns into cheesy performances from an adult perspective – to keep their interest levels peaked when  [ Read More ]
