One for the Money Movie Review

Friday, January 27th, 2012

Title: One for the Money Director: Julie Anne Robinson (‘The Last Song’) Starring: Katherine Heigl, Jason O’Mara and Daniel Sunjata (‘Gone,’ TV’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’) Movies based on successful novels and feature high-profile actors are often destined to become popular and entertaining, as they already have a built-in fanbase. But the new action comedy ‘One for the Money,’ which is based on Janet Evanovic’s 1994 book of the same name and features Katherine Heigl and Jason O’Mara in the lead roles, is one of the unfortunate adaptations that fails to live up to its source material. While the two actors have an easy-going and natural working relationship, the film lacks any…

Katherine Heigl Wants To Return To Grey's Anatomy

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

Katherine Heigl seemed to have burned a lot of bridges during her time on “Grey’s Anatomy,” what with her own statements about the quality of the show’s writing, her character Izzie’s relationship with George and the really weird relationship with her dead fiance Denny, her semi-unrealistic cancer storyline, and other little quirks. But Heigl, who left the series in 2010 to focus on being a parent, is now wondering if she can come back to the show. According to Entertainment Weekly, Heigl is reportedly wanting to return to her character. Entertainment Weekly states that in an interview with E!, Heigl said, “I’ve told them I want to [return]. I really,…

Title: New Year’s Eve Director: Garry Marshall Starring: Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron, Katherine Heigel, Seth Meyers and Michelle Pfeiffer People often think their lives are going in one direction, and don’t realize the impact someone they don’t know, or haven’t recently connected with in a long time, can have on them. But once they do make that connection with a stranger, they start to question their choices and what they can do to improve themselves. The new ensemble comedy ‘New Year’s Eve’ is an amusing reminder of the potential everyone has when they start to reflect on their choices. The multiple story-lines featured…

New Year's Eve trailer hits the web

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

“There’s going to be more celebrities here than rehab,” says Katherine Heigl’s cahracter in the newly-released “New Year’s Eve” trailer. While the character was talking about people being in Times Square for New Year’s Eve, that statement could have applied to the movie itself. Just like its predecessor “Valentine’s Day,” it seems like everyone who’s alive in Hollywood is in this movie. The trailer, which is embedded below, shows a lot but really nothing at all except for fluffy, happy, easy-going rom-com movie tidbits. Basically, the story is the same as “Valentine’s Day,” except that Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Biel are playing two different characters (I assume Hector Elizondo, who…

Life As We Know It Movie Review

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

Title: Life as We Know It Directed By: Greg Berlanti Starring: Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel, Josh Lucas, Hayes MacArthur, Christina Hendricks, Melissa McCarthy, Jessica St. Clair, Rob Huebel, Britt Flatmo, Alexis Clagett, Brynn Clagett, Brooke Clagett Another romantic comedy starring Katherine Heigl; should you prepare for more of the same? Yes, but surprisingly, in this case, more of the same isn’t all that bad. Someone must have told Heigl she’s been trying way too hard because in Life as We Know It, she dials it down a notch returning to the undeniably natural actress we grew to love in Knocked Up. Pair her up with the considerably charismatic Josh Duhamel…
